Pope John SHS & Min. Sem on Tuesday joined the likes of Presec-Legon, Wesley Girls’ and St Peter’s SHS at the quarter-final stage of the 2021 National Science and Maths Quiz (NSMQ).
Grabbing the life-changing question, POJOSS broke its tie with Mawuli School and emerged victorious.
The contest that also featured Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Girls' SHS proved to be one of a kind, where supporters of the three schools held on what little hope they had.
Whereas Pope John SHS led Round One of the contest, Mawuli School and Mt. Carmel Girls' SHS dominated the game in Round Two and Three, respectively.

Tettey Matthew and Osei Nkum of Pope John SHS, and contestants of Mawuli School, Samuel Amedzi and Bright Selase, rocked shoulders in Round Four.
The intensity of their keen contest heightened in Round Five, leaving both schools with 38 points.

When the dust cleared, Pope John Min. Sem was the last school standing, eliminating Mawuli School and Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Girls' SHS from the race.
