Serwaa Kesse Girls SHS in the Ahafo Region will be making their first appearance at the national championship of the National Science and Maths Quiz (NSMQ).
In over 50 years of its existence, the school, despite excelling in other academic activities, has failed to etch its name and reputation in the national tournament of the NSMQ.

It was a desperate need for the girls to break their five-decade jinx and bring glory to their school.
The school triumphed over their contenders from Mim SHS, Twereku Ampem SHS, Ola Girls Kenyasi, and Gyamfi Kumanini SHTS.
It was a revengeful contest for the girls from Duayaw Nkwanta against their female rivals, Ola Girls, after they suffered a painful defeat by them during the 2023 regional qualifiers.

The ladies from Kenyase were no match at all in the contest as they came nowhere near Serwaa Kesse, placing fourth out of the five competing schools.
Serwaa Kesse SHS won the contest with 33 points, a 10-point margin ahead of the closest contender, Mim SHS.
The girls say they are ready for action in the national tournament as they prepare adequately to face any competition despite their naivety.
