It was coast versus forest in the 2025 National Science and Maths Quiz prelims, as Ahantaman Girls’ SHS from Takoradi and University Practice SHS from Cape Coast faced off along with Mim SHS from the Ahafo Region.
However, when the final bell rang, University Practice SHS proved unstoppable, posting an impressive 57 points to book their place in the one-eighth stage.

Ahantaman Girls’ SHS followed with 26 points, while Mim SHS finished with 13 points.
All three schools had a rough time tackling the Problem of the Day, with University Practice and Ahantaman Girls’ each managing 2 out of 10, while Mim SHS failed to score.
