The hospitality industry players say their businesses are on the verge of collapsing due to the high taxes imposed on them as a result of the disgruntling Economy.
According to them, their woes have deepened to the numerous taxes imposed on them by the government.
Speaking in an exclusive interview with Adom News, they called on government to initiate measures to mitigate the situation.
Chairman of Ahafo Regional Hospitality Association, Reginald Awuku Darko, said the economic impact has brought their investment down because their clients and customers are no more patronising hotels and guest houses due to the hardship they are going through.
It will be recalled that the Ghana Tourism Authority recently revealed that, they are targeting about two million tourists this year to boost the revenue in the sector.
He however entreated the government to construct all the roads leading to these tourist sites to attract people.
He also appealed to the government not to focus only on the big hotels but to also pay proper attention to the small and medium hotels and guest houses.
