Mr Daniel Kofi Gyimah, Managing Director of the National Investment Bank (NIB) has inaugurated a four-unit ultra modern nursery block for the 66 Artillery Regiment (Volta Barracks) in Ho.
The NIB funded the 450 million cedis facility to help kids living in and around the barracks to have access to good foundation in education.
Mr Gyimah reiterated the commitment of the Bank to playing its part as a responsible partner in the community.
"We believe in putting back to the community in which we operate and developing our people for our common good, especially where the cause is for the benefit of the country", he said.
Mr Gyimah expressed the hope that children who go through the nursery complex would come out better trained to serve the country well.
Brigadier General Emmanuel Okyere, General Officer Commanding the Southern Command described the assistance by the NIB as "beautiful, "a wise investment" and "an encouraging gesture".
He urged teachers of the school to use the facility to prepare the character of children to enhance their total development.
Brigadier Okyere advised parents to see education as a shared responsibility and provide the educational needs of their wards.
Lieutenant Colonel Emmanuel Kotia, Commanding Officer of the Regiment, expressed gratitude to the Bank for funding the facility, which he said, would further enhance the desire to promote civil-military cooperation in the Municipality.
He said enrolment would be opened to all children and not only wards of military personnel.
