Former Ghana Football Association chairman Dr. Nyaho Tamakloe says the Kwasi Nyantakyi-led administration must not to give up on convincing the Ayew brothers to rescind their decision of temporary quitting the Black Stars.
Andre and Jordan have replied the GFA and ruled out their immediate return after requesting to temporarily quit the Black Stars following their failure to make Ghana’s squad for the 2013 Africa Cup of Nations.
According to the Olympique Marseille duo, they won’t be available for this month’s FIFA World Cup qualifier against Sudan.
But Tamakloe says this should not close the case on the matter as he expects the GFA to do more and resolve the issue to win back the two players.
"I don’t believe they should close the case, it is their responsibility to see to it that these guys are brought back to the national team," Dr Tamakloe told Joy Sports
"I don’t think it is too late, it is important they are talk to and it is also important that the management committee because this is the work of the committee and if they are not able to solve it then I don’t see the reason why they should be there."
"These are some of the problems that they are supposed to solve and solve well, such problems will always come if you are dealing with young people.
"So I think is it is the sole responsibility of the management committee to make sure that these two young men are brought back to the Black Stars."
