Oak Plaza Hotels on Saturday hosted Journalists in the country to an exclusive dinner party aimed at acknowledging the support and contribution that the media have played in growth of the hotel.
Both veterans and upcoming journalists attended the party to dine and wine the night away. Also present was the President of the Ghana Journalist Association (GJA), Mr. Affail Monney
In her welcome address, the General Manager of the Oak Plaza Hotels, Ms. Hazel Gumpo touted management quest to partner with the Ghanaian journalist to take the industry to a greater height “as the hotel continues to redefine the standards within the industry”
“We continue to redefine standards by taking our corporate social responsibilities seriously. With our key focus on education we work with AMSCO, the African Management Services Company to ensure we train our staff”, she said
Ms. Gumpo announced the appointment of a new Group Executive Chef, Duncan Wales, new Group Food and Beverage Manager, Nahshon Matheka and the new Chief Engineer, Nestor Atsunyo who all come on board with a wealth of knowledge in the industry for a much improved service
The President GJA, Mr. Affail Monney in a remark applauded the Oak Plaza Group for their giant strides in the hospitality industry and pledged GJA’s readiness to partner them to see the growth of the industry
