Pressure group, OccupyGhana, has joined loudening calls demanding justice for a lady who was stripped naked and abused by a Kumasi mob.
The lady’s ordeal was caught on video and has been in circulation on social media since Friday, February 17, 2017.
The unidentified lady is alleged to have been caught attempting to steal GH¢1,100 from a shop owner in the PZ Area in Adum, Kumasi.
Others say the lady, believed to be a Nigerian, attempted to steam foodstuffs from a market nearby.

Shortly after the video went viral, many have condemned the brutality meted out to the woman.
Executive Director of the Ark Foundation, Angela Dwamena Aboagye, recently joined gender activists who have condemned the mob attacked.
In a release Tuesday, OccupyGhana said “the practice of mob justice is, unfortunately, a rather dark side of our country’s history and does not seem to want to go away. It is unconstitutional, barbaric, unjust, unfair and criminal, and often has fatal consequences.”
The group says mob attacks ensnare the innocent and deprives law enforcement of the chance to thoroughly investigate cases.
“It denies victims due process and constitutes an abuse of their human rights and violation of their dignity,” says OccupyGhana.
OccupyGhana, which is made up of eminent lawyers and other professionals, wants the police to use the video to arrest the men responsible for the abuse of this poor woman.
“We demand that they [attackers] be prosecuted to the full extent of the law as a deterrent to others. We appeal to all Ghanaians to respect the individual human rights and dignity of their fellow men and women so that together we can grow this great nation,” OcuppyGhana said in the release.
