The Odai Ntow family, representing the Ga State, has strongly condemned the alleged sale of state lands, including those belonging to key government institutions.
During a press conference on Monday, March 24, 2025, at the Kwabenya Queenmother’s Palace, Nii Ayi Ana Konteh II Ga Abola Paramount Stool Dzaasetse, speaking on behalf of the family, accused former government officials of unlawfully selling prime state lands near Kotoka International Airport and other strategic locations to developers.
The family described these transactions as illegal and called for immediate intervention to halt the sales and investigate those involved.

“We want to know if the Ghana Atomic Energy Commission is now the Lands Commission because Ga lands are being demarcated and sold by some leaders within the Ghana Atomic Energy Commission. These leaders are issuing indentures, site plans, and other documents as proof of ownership for lands that belong to the Commission,” Nii Ayi Ana Konteh said.
According to the family, plots measuring 70 by 80 feet have been sold at exorbitant prices without proper authorisation.

“We call on His Excellency John Dramani Mahama and his government to launch a full-scale investigation into these unlawful land transactions,” the group declared, urging the new administration to take swift action to reclaim public lands allegedly sold off.
The press conference ended with a strong demand for accountability, as the Odai Ntow family vowed to continue pushing for justice and the protection of state lands.
