The office of the Ga Mantse and the Ga Traditional Council have laid out some activities lined up for the birthday celebration of the Ga Mantse, King Tackie Teiko Tsuru II.
The King’s birthday celebration will held on Friday, August 2, 2024.
In the morning, there will be a mass service at the Holy Trinity Cathedral at the High Street in Accra. This will be followed by Special Muslim Prayers (Jumma) by the Chief Imam at the National Mosque at 1pm.
The celebration will later be climaxed with a lunch and picnic at the Ga Mantse Palace at North Kaneshie.
The Ga Mantse is King Tackie Teiko Tsuru II known in private life as Dr. Kelvin Nii Tackie Abia, was officially inducted as King on May 9, 2020.
King Tackie Teiko Tsuru II has pledged his commitment to leading the Ga State to the path of restoration, with truth and trust as his guiding principles, to bring unity to the state and among the people.
He has reiterated on a number of occasions that his ultimate goal is to leadership that would bring hope to the youth and rekindle the lost glory of the state.
King Teiko Tsuru II is also dedicated to the promotion of the education and the development of the Ga language.
In the meantime, the Ga Mantse launched the 'Let's Unite to Clean Accra' campaign aimed at ensuring good sanitation of the Capital City.
Ahead of the general elections on December 7, he is also embarking on a call on all Ghanaians to foster unity and peace among citizens.
