OmniBSIC Bank has once again demonstrated its commitment to promoting healthy living and community engagement with the successful organization of its 9th edition health walk at the University of Ghana Sports Stadium.
The event brought together staff, customers, and members of the general public under the theme of promoting wellness and fostering stronger business relationships through fitness.

The walk, which covered an 11-kilometre route, took participants through major streets including Bawaleshie, American House, Brain Hill International School, and Shiashie before returning to the stadium.
The vibrant morning atmosphere was filled with energy, music, and solidarity as participants bonded over exercise and team spirit.

Chairperson of the Health Walk Committee, Akyaa Afreh Arhin Addo-Kufuor, explained that the initiative forms part of the bank’s broader corporate wellness agenda to encourage regular physical activity and healthy living habits.

“We have realized that a lot of people are dying, especially professionals and people who work in banks and other white-collar jobs. This is one of our ways in helping them to realize and sensitize people that it's important for you to exercise in one way or the other,” she stated.

She further highlighted that beyond its health benefits, the annual walk has become a strategic engagement platform for the bank to connect with clients and prospective customers in a relaxed and interactive environment.

“With customer engagement, this has also brought us clients, and just people who want to understand banking. People have become interested in OmniBasic,” she added.

The event also created a platform for local entrepreneurs and partner brands to showcase and market their products and services, reinforcing OmniBSIC Bank’s support for small and medium-sized businesses.

As the program concluded, participants expressed satisfaction with the initiative, describing it as both refreshing and impactful.

The bank assured that it will continue to champion health-focused and socially beneficial initiatives that build community bonds while promoting productivity and business growth.

OmniBSIC Bank’s Health Walk has, over the years, grown in scale and participation, becoming one of the bank’s most anticipated corporate wellness events on its annual calendar.
