The technical director of the Ghana Football Association Francis Oti Akenteng has been selected by the Confederation of African Football (CAF) as a member of the four-man technical Study group for the 2015 Africa Cup of Nations.
Oti Akenteng was a member of CAF’s Technical Study Group at this year’s CHAN tournament in South Africa and the African Women’s Championship in Namibia.
“I’m very sure CAF has been monitoring my work, they invited me for the CHAN tournament in South Africa and the Women’s championship as well,” he told Joy sports
“It is not easy to be handed task of this nature but since this is not the first time I know things will go well.”
In a related development, CAF and FIFA referee’s instructor Joseph Wellington expects two Ghanaian referees to make the cut for the 2015 Nations Cup in Equatorial Guinea to demonstrate a high level of professionalism.
Selected referees will be heading to Bata, Equatorial Guinea by January 7,2015 to undergo fitness tests before the final team is picked.
Ghana’s surest bets are Joseph Lamptey and assistant referee AS Malik who handled three matches in the qualifiers.
