Paris Graduate School of Management-Ghana Alumi are backing a colleague member, Joyce Apoasaan Jambeidu, to win the Service Provider Entrepreneur of the Year Award. The award is among numerous categories under the upcoming 2019 Young Entrepreneur Awards, an annual awards event that celebrates outstanding young entrepreneurs whose initiatives lessen the burden on the job market and inspire other young people to become job creators instead of seekers.  Joyce Apoasaan Jambeidu is the Chief Executive Officer of Wellam Shea, a social enterprise focused on the processing of pure Shea butter with the aim of empowering young women and communities “through the Shea value chain”. The company collaborates with women groups to process grade A Shea butter, which is further processed into quality skin and hair care products.  The company also engages in training in entrepreneurship, soap and cosmetic making for the youth. Wellam’s Shea further engages communities in its operational area especially young girls on the dangers of skin bleaching and offers natural cosmetics alternatives.   Through Wellam’s Shea, Joyce also sensitises communities and young girls against migration to down south in search for jobs with its attendant effects on young women, while offering alternative jobs in the Shea value chain. The Paris Graduate School of Management (PGSM) Alumni-Ghana, which was recently inaugurated in Accra is backing Joyce Apoasaan Jambeidu, to win the Service Provider Entrepreneur of The Year Award due to her exceptional entrepreneurial skills and her resolve to economically empower young women in deprived areas.  “Apart from Wellam’s Shea, Joyce Apoasaan is also the proprietress of Wellad International School, a basic school in the Garu District which is contributing to quality education at affordable rates. “The school offers a partial scholarship to some needy children and is also contributing to the employment of the youth in the Garu District. These attributes are commendable and make her a role model to other youth especially young women,” a statement from PGSM said.
