Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta says Thomas Partey should keep focused at the club as he remains happy with the player despite having just one year left on his current deal.
The Ghanaian midfielder has battled injuries in the 2023/24 season limiting him to just eight Premier League appearances.
The midfielder made just his first start since August in midweek as the Gunners hosted Luton Town at the Emirates going on to play 67 minutes in the game.
Speaking after the game, Partey spoke about his excitement at being at the club despite speculations about his future at the club.
Quizzed on the Ghanaian's comments, Arteta replied: "Partey said he’s happy here? He’d better have his head here because we are playing for big things."
"He’s a top player, he’s under contract for one more year and I’m really happy with Thomas."
Arteta is hoping to count on Partey for the final stretch of the season with the North London side chasing the Premier League and Champions League titles.
