Performance wrap of Ghanaian players abroad over the weekend

With a closure to the transfer window and the uncertainties around the future of some of Ghana's best football talents being finalised, the weekend presented another opportunity to assess their performance.

Kamaldeen Sulemana, Antoine Semenyo and Andre Ayew all made their Premier League debut after securing transfers during the January transfer window.

Sulemana was a second-half substitute in Southampton's loss to Brentford award from home while Ayew also came off the bench for a brief cameo as Nottingham Forest beat Leeds United.

Semenyo played the entire duration of his debut for Bournemouth as they suffered a narrow loss to Brighton & Hove Albion.

Jeffery Schlupp was on target for Crystal Palace over the weekend as they suffered a 1-2 loss to Manchester United at Old Trafford.

Joseph Paintsil's top form continued over the weekend as he bagged his 10th goal of the season in the Belgium Jupiler Pro League.

No one in Genk's current squad has scored more goals than the Ghanaian in the league this season.

Mohammed Kudus sparkled once again for Ajax in their weekend win over Cambuur in the Eredivisie. The Ghanaian provided an assist as his side won back-to-back games for the first since October.

Samuel Obeng scored an overhead kick on his debut for Huesca who beat Mirandes in the Spanish second tier. He joined the club on loan from Real Oviedo during the January transfer window.
