Emigoh Ghana Ltd, producers of Yomi Yoghurt, stunned the El Wak Stadium after winning the coveted Men's Football trophy at the #JoySports Invitational on Saturday.
The company also ended the day with a win of the CEO's Center-to-Goal Shootout. Emigoh won both trophies to see off competition from 13 other crack teams.
"We are very, very excited about this. I do recall we mentioned that we were here to show something remarkable, and also we said our formation was going to be innovative. And here we are!" said Stephen Eku, the company chief executive officer, who won the center-to-goal competition.
EMIGOH have thus dethroned Team Multimedia as the defending champion of the men's football competition.
The most credible and reliable corporate games in Ghana, the Joy Sports Invitational has seen increasing participation in the last nine years.
CEOs and staff swooped on to the El Wak Stadium from as early as 6am. Unlike in previous years, the Games started very early and on time, with charged jama sessions from almost all 14 teams.
There were several games to contest : Soccer, Volleyball, Basketball, Table tennis, Unisex relay, 100m dash (men) and 50m dash (women).

The 2016 Joy Sports Invitational (JSI 2016) was a well-patronised event that continued a rich, decade-long tradition of bringing corporate Ghana together to ease off the working stress in a productive way.
There were 14 companies present, taking part in eight different disciplines.
