An Estate Developer in Ashiyie in Accra survived what was visibly an attempt by four armed assailants to take his life Thursday.
Joseph Ofosu was supervising the work of nine of his employees when the assailants attacked them around 3:30pm.
Speaking to Myjoyonline.com Mr Ofosu, who owns Positive Drive Limited said the assailants drove to their site in a 4*4 vehicle and opened fire on them in an attempt to kill him.

He, together with the workers had to escape but not without a minor injury. According to Mr Ofosu, one of his workers was shot in the hand by the mask wearing assailants.
His Hyundai vehicle, as well as another Nissan vehicle his workers were using, were all left in ruins with traces of bullet holes drilled into many parts of the vehicle.
It is not clear yet who is behind the attack but he has reported the case to the Adenta Police who have begun investigations.
Joseph Ofosu suspects the attack may have something to do with a land litigation in court.

According to him, his company is in court with another company over a piece of land but won the court case just some few days ago.
He suspects the attempt to kill him was instigated by persons linked to that company.
The Adenta Divisional Police Commander ACP Joseph Jewu who confirmed the attack to Myjoyonline.com said the police are yet to pick up suspects.
According to him, the police arrived on the scene of the attack shortly after they were called by one of the victims.

The suspects had escaped before they arrived at the scene of the attack, he stated.
He appealed to individuals to assist the police by volunteering information that will lead to the arrest of the culprits.
