Vice President, Prof Naana Jane Opoku-Agyemang, representing President John Dramani Mahama, attended the inauguration ceremony of General Mamadi Doumbouya as President of the Republic of Guinea yesterday.
The high-profile event, attended by several Heads of State and Government, senior officials, and diplomatic representatives, underscored Ghana's enduring commitment to fostering regional solidarity, peace, and stability in West Africa.

Speaking on behalf of the Government and people of Ghana, Prof. Opoku-Agyemang extended warm congratulations to President Doumbouya.
She reaffirmed Ghana’s readiness to deepen bilateral and regional collaboration with Guinea, particularly in advancing shared goals of regional integration, trade, security cooperation, and people-to-people relations.

This diplomatic engagement highlights the ongoing efforts to strengthen the historical bonds between the two nations within the frameworks of ECOWAS and the African Union.
