The Works and Housing Minister, Samuel Atta Akyea on Friday opened the 2019 edition of the JoyNews Habitat Fair at the Accra International Conference Centre in Accra.
The annual Fair which is has been a major housing event in the country will bring together experts and industry players in the housing sector to proffer solutions to the housing needs of Ghanaians.
From land acquisition, sale, starting to build, using the right materials, completing the building to paintings and fitting all that is needed, the Habitat will be a one-stop-shop for advice.
It will also be used to create extensive awareness on affordable housing projects initiated by both government and private sector players.
Under the theme ‘Rebuilding Technology in Ghana’, this year’s event aims to give true meaning to affordable housing while creating a platform for buyers and service providers to do business on a common platform.
At the fair will be a beautiful display of modern technology in the housing sector which exhibitors have promised attractive prizes.
Some of the companies at the fair include Elegant Homes, Aventula Limited, Interplast Ghana Limited, Supacem Cement, GHS Housing Limited, Superlock Technologies, Domod Roof, DBS Roofing, Edric Group, Global Lightning, Codan Construction and Blue Garden Affordable Houses.
After the opening ceremony, the sector Minister toured the fairgrounds and interacted with some of the exhibitors who showed him some of the new technologies on display.
