Joy Business has organised a roundtable discussion to stimulate a national conversation on jobs that will push for policy change or a new policy initiative.
A lot of people have lost their jobs as the novel coronavirus bites hard across the world with Ghana having its own story to tell.
In Ghana the hardest hit sectors have been tourism, media, among others
The Ghana Employers’ Association and Organised Labour are pushing for a meeting with the Finance Ministry to among other issues, deliberate on how government can absorb a portion of workers’ salaries to help provide some relief.
The conversation looked at sustainable solutions and the preservation of current jobs.
