The Lands and Natural Resources Minister, Samuel Abu Jinapor has addressed the press on the way forward on the Green Ghana Agenda.
He will also inform the public on decisions reached in the fight to clamp down on illegal mining.
On Monday, the Deputy Minister for the sector, George Mireku Duker revealed that new measures are being put in place, including the relaunch of Operation Halt.
Although the military task force was launched earlier this year, their routine visits to illegal mining sites declined. This, made the operators return to the sites.
As such, it is expected that Mr Jinapor will inform the citizenry about the plans that have been put together to ensure the initiative is more sustainable.
