The Accra Regional Police is cautioning people not to purchase items such as home theatres, mobile phones without charges and other valuables at very cheap price because these items may be stolen goods.
The caution comes after the arrest of two suspects in the Amanfrom robbery incident last week within the Ga South Municipal Assembly.
The suspects Isaac Kene, 25, a tiler from Togolese and David Ahetor, 25, a watchman were members of a gang of five who robbed about ten houses at Amanfrom.
The two had returned to the community with the intention to rob more houses. But with beefed up police security in the neighbourhood, their attempts were foiled.
They were subsequently arrested, Joy News Hannah Odame reported. Several weapons and items were retrieved from them.
Reporting from the regional police command where the two were paraded, Hannah said Isaac was monitored while selling more than seven mobile phones at the refugee camp in Budumbra popularly known as the Liberia Camp.
David for instance was in possession of a gun with 60 rounds of live ammunition.
The police also said three victims who were allegedly raped by the robbers at gun point are recovering.
David was also heard murmuring to himself questioning why God created him an armed robber, Hannah reported.
