The Ghana Police Service is confident the country will be peaceful after the Supreme Court Judgment in the election petition.The confidence hinges on the analysis of potential political violence it has undertaken.The Supreme Court will deliver judgment in the election petition brought before it by the 2012 Presidential Candidate of the NPP Nana Akufo Addo and two others.They are challenging the declaration of president Mahama as winner in the last election supervised by the Electoral Commission.The Police have been mapping out strategies to deal with any trouble that may arise after the judgment but Director of Operation COP John Kudalor told Joy News continuous education about peace is crucial at this moment.“When you talk about these issues and you hammer it, then it gets into the head. We should not take things for granted. It is better to do this arrangement and this educational drives and sensitization than to take things for granted,” he stated.Meanwhile, the National youth organizer of the NDC, Ludwig Hlodze is also hopeful followers of political parties in the election petition will accept the outcome of the court judgment.
