A female Police Constable, identified as Sandra Asiedu, has allegedly been murdered in cold blood by her civilian "boyfriend" in Damongo in the West Gonja Municipality.
A statement from the Police said the suspect, who is currently at large, might have stabbed the victim with a knife.
"She was found in a pool of blood with wounds believed to be knife-stabs," the statement said.

According to the information gathered, the male civilian fell in love with the victim the moment she arrived in Damongo to start work, and the two have been in an intimate relationship until the unfortunate incident.
The source, narrating the incident, said the command received a signal of her demise through one of her friends, and they quickly mobilised personnel to the scene and saw her lifeless body lying in a pool of blood.
Her corpse has since been deposited at the West Gonja Hospital morgue awaiting autopsy.
Meanwhile, the Police are on a manhunt for the boyfriend as he is "highly suspected". The Police Administration has also began processes to inform the family of the unfortunate incident.
