The Chiefs and people of Ofankor in the Ga West District of the Greater Accra Region, are accusing the Tesano Division of the Ghana Police Service, of dumping human skulls at the Ofankor cemetery.
The skulls are in an abandoned Hyundai Saloon car with registration number GR 897-09.
Narrating the incident to Peace News, Mr. Ashalley Neequaye, the spokesperson for the chief, said the car was spotted on Monday morning in the vicinity, being towed by a police car with registration number GP 1452 to the cemetery.
According to Mr. Ashalley Neequaye, several attempts made to draw the attention of the Tesano Police to the act and perhaps remedy the situation, have proved futile, and pleaded with authorities to investigate the matter
“Stench emanating from the vehicle is unbearable,” he said, adding that if nothing is done immediately, “it could pose a serious health hazard to the residents in the area.”
