The Agona Swedru Police have stepped up day and night patrols following increase in armed robberies over the past two weeks.
Deputy Superintendent of Police Osei Kwadwo said that the police were leaving no stone unturned in their efforts to flush out the criminals.
He said police personnel have been increased and appealed to people to assist the police by providing information about criminals.
Mr Osei Kwadwo appealed to the residents, especially the well to do, to support the police with logistics and commended the Agona District Assembly for providing the police with two double cabin pick-ups and fuel.
Armed robbers hit the town three weeks ago and robbed people of mobile phones, cash and other valuables.
