The General Secretary of the Ghana Medical Association, Justice Yankah has revealed that neurocognitive disorders i.e. decreased mental function, loss of hair and seizure are some of the health complications faced by persons who have recovered from Covid-19.
Recently, the Ghana Medical Association (GMA) also listed erectile dysfunction as one of the many post-Covid-19 recovery health complications.
He further intimated that the virus does not only cause erectile dysfunction but could potentially affect a man’s ability to reproduce.
According to the Vice President of the Association, Dr Frank Serebour, these reported health complications are accounts recorded from several complaints patients have made to health experts.

Fatigue, insomnia, difficulty in breathing, anxiety, muscle weakness and depression are also some of the lingering symptoms of post-Covid-19 patients.
Health practitioners have warned that the effect of coronavirus on the health is of much concern, hence the need for Ghanaians to comply with the safety protocols.
Currently, the path of the virus in the country seems to be rising at an alarming rate as the country records cases in all 16 regions with a total of 67,782 confirmed cases and an average of 700 new cases daily.
According to GHS, the countries death toll is 424.
