The National Youth Organiser of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Salam Mustapha, has condemned the court decision to remand the party’s Bono Regional Chairman, Kwame Baffoe, popularly known as Abronye DC, into police custody.
Mr. Mustapha indicated that “Power has an end, the tables will turn, and we will all have our revenge.”
He said this to journalists outside the Accra Circuit Court shortly after the ruling.

The statement comes after the court denied bail and ordered Abronye to remain in police custody until Friday, 12 September, when he is expected to reappear.
Abronye was arrested on Monday, 8 September 2025, on charges of offensive conduct conducive to breach of the peace. He was arraigned before the Circuit Court on Tuesday, 9 September 2025, where the presiding judge ordered his remand.
The case has attracted significant political attention, particularly following Abronye’s recent asylum applications to eight foreign embassies, including those of the United States, Canada, France, Italy, and Germany, over alleged threats to his life.
