Flamboyant boxer Braimah Kamoko aka Bukom Banku, has made a passionate appeal to President Atta Mills to invite him to the Osu Castle to discuss what he says are recent infighting in the Odododiodio constituency of the ruling National Democratic Congress. Bukom Banku says the internal wrangling in the party at the constituency level is affecting its growth, explaining that it has made the constituency move backwards. Speaking on Adom FM's Dwaso Nsem Monday, Bukom Banku said “fire are killing the monkey in the constituency”. There have been reported clashes between supporters of sitting MP Jonathan Nii Tackie Commey and those on the side of Nii Lantey Vanderpuye, an aide to President Mills who has declared an interest in the parliamentary seat. “Anytime fight, killing all the time, I want the president to invite me to the Castle. Because of the fight the Odododiodio divided to shame,” he said. He advised the MP for the area, Nii Tackie Commey to get police protection whenever he goes out on national duty. Bukom Banku who claimed to be 'King' of the constituency and knows that ‘my sensible president Atta Mills will talk to the two people’, accused leaders of the constituency for 'chopping' money meant for development. He lamented the poor sanitation situation at Odododiodio where he said there is indiscriminate disposal of human excreta. "Come and see the toilet, the gutter, the vapour is killing our women," he told Adakabre Frimpong Manso, host of Dwaso Nsem. Bukom Banku said the two contenders for the parliamentary seat have large supporters hence the continuous fighting. "We need peace and we don’t want war. I want to tell Atta Mills that, if you don’t open your eyes the Odododiodio will be divided," Bukom Banku stressed.
