Struggling English side Portsmouth have signed Quincy Owusu-Abeyie from Spartak Moscow on loan until the end of the season. Pompey had their transfer embargo, which was placed on them by the Premier League for outstanding payments to other clubs, lifted on Tuesday and manager Avram Grant has wasted no time in bringing new talent in. The former Arsenal forward has had loan spells with the likes of Spanish outfit Celta Vigo, Birmingham and Cardiff in the past few years. The 23-year-old has been with Spartak since January 2006 but has made less than 30 league appearances for the Russian giants.
