Black Stars coach Milovan Rajevac has named an 18 man squad for an international friendly against the Bafana Bafana of South Africa on August 11.
The list has 12 players who were part of World Cup contingent in South Africa but usual suspects- Stephen Appiah, Mathew Amoah, Sulley Ali Muntari have all been left out.
On the contrary, Harrison Afful, Bernard Kumordzi, Haminu Draman, Emmanuel Agyeman-Badu and Yaw Antwi all make a return to the Stars.
A surprise call however has been handed to Egypt based Cofie Bekoe.
Rajevac still maintained Richard Kingson who is undoubtedly the safest pair of hands for the Black Stars with back-up from Liberty’s Daniel Adjei.
Full list of the Black Stars team is as follows;
Goalkeepers: Richard Kingson (Unattached), Daniel Agyei (Liberty Professionals, Ghana)
Defenders: Samuel Inkoom (Basel, Switzerland) Harrison Afful (Esperance, Tunisia) John Mensah (Lyon, France), Lee Addy (Bechem Chelsea, Ghana) Jonathan Mensah (Granada, Spain)
Midfielders: Anthony Annan (Rosenborg, Norway), Emmanuel Agyemang-Badu (Udinese, Italy), Kwadwo Asamoah (Udinese, Italy) Andre Ayew (Marseille, France) Kevin-Prince Boateng (Portsmouth, England) Cofie Bekoe (Petrojet, Egypt) Bernard Kumordzi (Panionios FC, Greece)
Attackers: Asamoah Gyan (Rennes, France), Dominic Adiyiah (AC Milan, Italy) Haminu Draman (Locomotiv Moscow, Russia) Yaw Antwi (FK Vojvodina, Serbia)
