March 3, 2025. The Forestry Commission's attention has been drawn to a story on Multimedia Group Limited's myjoyonline.com / adomonline.com, with the above caption, which was published on March 3, 2025.
The Forestry Commission finds the content of this story inaccurate, and the caption misleading, and would therefore, like to set the records straight as follows:
- The Forestry Commission as at this morning of March 3 2025, has not received any letter from the Public Services Commission (PSC), revoking the appointment of any staff.
- The Acting Chief Executive personally called the Chairperson of the Public Services Commission (PSC) to find out if the Office had written any letter(s) revoking the appointments of the four directors and asking the Forestry Commission to implement same.
- The Chairperson confirmed that no such letter had been written and that the appointments of the four directors still stand.
- We wish to assure the general public that there is no "confusion" at the Forestry Commission and that staff are going about their normal duties in a congenial atmosphere.
We, therefore, call on the management of Multimedia Group Limited, to publish this Rejoinder on its platforms as it did with the earlier story.
