Highlife artiste, Kwabena Kwabena has shared his thoughts on what it means to be a real man, stating that taking responsibility for one's partner is a fundamental aspect of masculinity.
In a candid conversation with Roselyn Felli on Joy Prime's Changes show, Kwabena Kwabena explained that being accountable to one's spouse is a basic expectation that every man should strive to meet.
“The process by which a woman was created shows that a woman must be comfortable, and every man knows that. Men who don’t know about that are the ones disgracing us. Every man should know that he must be responsible for his woman. If you don’t know this basic thing, then you’re not a man,” he said.
The “Aso” hitmaker also challenged the notion of a male-dominated society, stressing that without women, the world would be devoid of meaning.
He advocated for the respectful treatment of women, emphasizing that irresponsible behaviour from men is unacceptable and should be discouraged.
The singer also offered a word of caution to women, urging them to be more empathetic towards men, who often struggle in silence.
In his opinion, true masculinity is not about dominance, but about overcoming life's challenges with resilience and determination.
“I want to be a man always. So I see battles as they must come for me to fight them, and as a man, I need to fight my battles, and that’s what makes me a man,” he stated.
In December 2024, Kwabena Kwabena announced plans to celebrate an incredible 20 years in the music industry which will kick off with his annual Valentine’s Day on Friday, February 14, 2025, at the Grand Arena of the Accra International Conference Centre (AICC).
