Two persons are reported dead in Bunkprugu in the Northern Region following clashes that lasted for many hours between two chieftaincy groups.
The fighting was between the Jamong and the Jafog clans (both Bimobas), in the area.
The deceaseds have been identified only as a male teacher and a businessman.
Their remains have been deposited at the Baptist Medical Centre in Nalerigu.
Several houses were set ablaze with hundreds rendered homeless, however, Security patrols have intensified in the township and its environs to prevent any spillover.
Residents are however living in fear as a result of the incident.
