After Black Stars coach James kwasi Appiah had announced his men for the world cup qualifier against Egypt, there had been numerous criticism in the Ghanaian media centering on the inclusion of Goalkeeper Richard Kingson.
The former Blackpool and Galatasaray goalkeeper returns to the Blackstars for the first time in two years after he was said to be clubless by the national team’s trainers.
Kingson broke his silence on Monday on the Asempa fm’s ultimate sports show in an interview with host Kofi Asare Brako. He sounded very optimistic of proving his critics wrong if given the opportunity to be in post in the Egypt clash.
“If I am fortunate to start against Egypt, I know I will perform above my many years experience and do more than before, that is what I know to do best and in Jesus name ,the whole world will see my capabilities. Even if I don’t start, God knows best and it is Ghana we are all dying for and wanting to qualify to Brazil.” he said.
Speaking about Ghana’s chances for Brazil, ”Olele” as he is popularly called in Ghana , disclosed his optimism for the Blackstars and believes we have a foot there waiting to sideline Egypt and sees himself in post for Ghana at the worldcup.
“On October 15, people will see that Ghana has a God. And the Lord I serve will glorify his name. I know I am already in Brazil”.He added.
