The Roman Ridge School (TRRS) celebrated Independence Day in grand style with an impressive and colourful display of Ghanaian culture, history and tradition.
Pupils, parents and staff worked together to prepare a vibrant Cultural Showcase inspired by various regional areas across Ghana.
Under the expert tutelage of the Abibigromma Theatre Company (University of Ghana – School of Performing Arts), pupils of TRRS prepared an array of authentic cultural performances, depicting a variety of important traditional celebrations, through creative medleys of traditional dance, drumming, dramatisations and music.
The event began with the TRRS Staff & Parent Choir’s rousing performance of Ghana’s National Anthem and Yεn Ara Asaase Ni, followed by the recital of the National Pledge.
