Scene Catalogue, an Architectural interior and exterior design magazine, the first of its kind in Ghana was launched at the Holiday Inn Hotel in Accra on Friday May 30, 2014.
Launching the magazine, Architect S.M Quartey, Principal Architect of Atelier expressed the hope that the new magazine will bring Ghanaian Architects to the light and educate Ghanaians on architecture and the relevance of the architectural services and products on our local market.
He was optimistic the purpose of the magazine, which is to bridge the gap between consumers in the building industry, will be achieved.
Scene Catalogue is published by Architect Miss Abena Anima Adjei. She doubles as its Editor-in-Chief.
“By the launch of the magazine, more light would be thrown on architecture and its related association” she said.
“I am delighted that we have managed to launch the first Ghana Architectural and Interior magazine. The profession of architecture in Ghana has been on the down turn for some time now just because Ghanaians have not been well informed about the services of Architects and this is evident in the nature of our built environment. Scene Catalogue is here to bridge that gap”, she said at the launch of the magazine.
The Editor-in-Chief added that the magazine features work of local architects, interior designers and advice on interior and exterior spaces as well as landscaping.
The launch of the first Ghanaian Architectural magazine was sponsored by Water Comfort (Sanitary wares), Imperial Homes, Atelier Architects, Arch Xenus and A2Z interiors.

The first three copies of the magazine were bought at GH¢5,000 each.
