The victory celebration for Miss Malaika Ghana 2025, Akosua Arhin, reached a fever pitch on Sunday, November 23, as she was officially presented with a sleek, brand-new KIA Pegas saloon car.
The car represents a significant component of the overall prize package, which also includes:
- A substantial cash prize (reported to be over GHS 20,000).
- A full educational scholarship for a post-graduate program.
- The prestige of becoming the face and ambassador for various brands and social causes for the duration of her reign.
The presentation ceremony, captured in a burst of cheers and applause, marks the official start of her year-long reign and duties as a national ambassador.
The keys to the vehicle were formally handed over to Akosua by Robert Klah, the Head of Public Events and Communications for Charterhouse, the event organiser.
The moment saw family, friends, and the organisation's team erupt in excitement, underscoring the prestige and tangible rewards of the Miss Malaika title.
The KIA Pegas is a modern, fuel-efficient saloon known for its stylish design and practicality—a perfect vehicle for Akosua as she embarks on her demanding schedule of official duties and social intervention projects across the country.
Akosua's Triumph and Winning Platform
Akosua, a 20-year-old student from the University of Ghana, earned the coveted crown at the grand finale held on Saturday, November 22nd.
She triumphed over nine talented finalists, impressing the judges with her intelligence, poise, and her committed social initiative.
Her winning platform, the '4E Initiative: Empowering Youth Through Enterprise and Education', is set to be the focus of her year.
Akosua aims to directly address Ghana's youth unemployment challenge, which officially stands around 13.4% nationally, but is significantly higher among young graduates.
Her project is focused on establishing skills training hubs and providing vocational and digital expertise to at least 500 young women in key regions.
Miss Malaika: A Legacy of Empowerment
The Miss Malaika Ghana pageant, now in its 23rd anniversary year, continues to distinguish itself as a leading empowerment platform that prioritises intellect, social impact, and career development over mere physical beauty.
The high-profile event is organised by Charterhouse Ghana and serves as a major pipeline for Ghanaian female leadership in various sectors, with several former winners and contestants going on to excel in media, entrepreneurship, and public service.
Akosua now succeeds Miss Sika Osei (Miss Malaika 2024) and will use her new vehicle to travel across the nation, bringing her 4E initiative from paper to tangible reality.
