He said as a proud trading partner to the Africa Diaspora Central Bank and a member of sovereign nations of Eco-6, they are excited about the prospects of deepening ties and embarking on collaborative endeavours aimed at fostering mutual prosperity, financial inclusion, and sustainable development for the good people of Senegal.
“May your noble elevation to the highest office of the land and your tenure, be illuminated by peace, wisdom, innovation, and the successful realization of your vision for a prosperous Senegal. We stand with you in anticipation of a bright future, marked by the strengthening of our bonds and the achievement of our collective aspirations “the statement concluded.
Last month, 44-year-old Mr Faye won the delayed elections, securing 54% of the vote, ahead of his main challenger Amadou Ba.
On Friday, March 29, 2024, the country’s Constitutional Council confirmed Mr Faye as the winner.
Heads of state from around the continent attended his inauguration ceremony on April 2nd, including Nigeria's President Bola Tinubu, who is also chair of the regional bloc, Ecowas.
