The Management of UT Holdings has officially written to us and invited me to come and share the WebSoft Solutions Story with their Management.
Have you had a business that at a point you could not pay back a ₵300 bank loan, they came to lock up your office and instead of you going there to beg, you went there to tell them that you are not afraid to fail and start all over again?
And that you will rather die than give up, if they like they should come and pack the computers too but you will be back with so much fortune that you will pay them and still give them huge sums of money for investments?
You were so engrossed with passion and the winning attitude that you were reporting work at the bank every morning and stayed there till 3pm daily insisting that you won’t stop coming there to work until they give you your keys to go and run your business? Till they got tired, gave you your keys and told you to go take your time to work and come pay when you get it?
Have you had just 3 staffs before and yet you were owing 5 months’ salary? And AMA also came to lock up your office with their key because of ₵40?
Have you had to live in Koforidua and work in Accra for one year? You close work in Accra about 8pm, get to the station about 9pm, leave Accra and arrive Koforidua about 11pm, you were tired and wasted, but you still have to get up by 4am and head to the Accra station for the office so you get to work before every other staff? Till one day your staff caught you red-handed and realised you had no accommodation, then that staff insisted to accommodate you in his own apartment in Accra till you (the CEO) had enough to rent your own place?
Yes, my team member was my Landlord for some time. No wonder I get angry when a job seeker says he can't come early always because where he lives is far - the CEO was living in Koforidua and coming to work in Accra everyday for one year!
What is your story? A quarter of mine have not been told. One of the many things I will share with the Management of UT is the element of Self-Belief and the Audacity of Faith! If you don't believe in yourself that you can physically see, how then can you belief the God that you can't see?
Our success story as a company defies logic, it is unconventional, our result is not according to the books, there has always been all the natural and economic indicators that proves we should fail, but we have grown from strength to strength because the coy was born out of a seed of Faith - an incorruptible seed indeed.
An Entrepreneur, regardless of the environment and in the face of contrary indications, still believes that there is a way amongst the thorns that leads to the throne. Just as Jesus endured pain and adversity and journeyed through thorns to the throne.
An entrepreneur is not "normal", he has to go the direction of his instincts even when the technocrats advise otherwise, that's how come many failed, and awfully paradoxical, that is how many succeeded too, and when they succeeded, they did big!
Are you a young upcoming entrepreneur and you are gasping for breath; almost at the verge of swallowing a seed of despair? Don't pack your bags yet, believe me, there is a way, it only requires your tenacity and persistence, glory has weight, it doesn't come cheap. Pursuing your purpose and changing lives by providing jobs, and solving problems for others whilst you also achieve your dreams - is not a beans stew fun fair.
Did I hear you say it's hard? It has always been hard, go and listen to our parents 20 years ago, they complained also at that time that things were hard. There has never been a time in history where men had no obstacles to overcome, you are stronger than that challenge that is why to came to you, don't let your dreams die.
Let my story lend you a flicker of hope. Today we don't have Salary problems anymore and we are doing very well by the grace of God, Websoft Solutions is a force to reckon with in the Ghanaian I.T space, building bespoke software; portals, web and mobile applications, developing clean, exquisite websites and more. And with clientele base that cuts across almost every recognised industry - energy, insurance, banking & finance, oil & gas, aviation, entertainment and media, etc! Of course there are new levels of challenges we face now, but permit me to end with the words of Jesus; "if only thou canst believe, all things are possible to him that believe!
