SIC Life Savings and Loans Company Limited has donated motorbikes and helmets to the Achimota Mile 7 District police station in Accra.
This gesture, according to the company's Managing Director, Richard Appietu is for effective and efficient running of the station.
It will also provide the much-needed security for the communities in the area, he said.
He indicated that, the donation was to show appreciation and encourage the police in their hard work.
Mr. Appietu who was accompanied by the Chief Operating Officer, Osman Ahmed and the Customer Service and Corporate Affairs Manager, Roseline handed over the five motorbikes to the police as part of their corporate social responsibility (CSR).
Superintendent Iddrisi Tanko who received the motorbikes on behalf of the IGP, thanked the company for the donation and recognition of their work.
He assured the management of SIC Life Savings and Loans that the gifts will be used effectively and for the purpose for which they were donated; to bring down crime rate in the community.
