Head of Business at the SME Bank Union Savings and Loans, Dominic Donkoh has urged small business owners to leverage social media to boost business performance.
“It is important for SMEs to employ social media to boost their brands and sell their products and services,” he told JOY BUSINESS at an executive networking event organized by the SME bank.
The event which forms part of Unions flagship SME Clinic was to enable CEOs, corporate entities and entrepreneurs interact and share best business practices.
Guest speaker, CEO of software development firm, Dream Oval, Derrydean Dadzie admonished SMEs to keep abreast of the evolving social media trends if they are to expand their operations.
He said there are more benefits to social media that are yet to be tapped by local entrepreneurs.
“What worked yesterday would not work today. There are always new insights, there are always new things to learn”, Mr. Dadzie added.
The networking event will be a monthly affair. It forms part of Union’s vision to be the number one bank for entrepreneurs.
