South Africa Airways says it has repositioned itself to better maximise the Ghanaian market amid the coronavirus pandemic, after 18 months of winding up air travel services to Ghana.
The airline’s suspension of services to Accra had caused discomfort to air travels who had to experience extended flight routes to get to South Africa.
Speaking at the relaunch of its operations and inaugural flight of SA 052 Airbus, Country Manager of South Africa Airways, Gloria Wilkinson Mensa assured of quality service and convenience for travelers.
South African High Commissioner to Ghana, Grace Jeanette Mason expressed readiness of SAA as a strategic route to complement the African Continental Free Trade Agreement Area.

Speaking at the event, Deputy Transport Minister, Hassan Tampuli decried some complaints by airlines over strict protocols that hinder the flow of their operations.
He insisted that protocols will be prioritiesed against profits.
Meanwhile, Director General of the Ghana Civil aviation Authority, Charles Krakue has tasked air operators to ensure strict safety standards amid the pandemic.
The inaugural flight of SA 052 Airbus touched down on the Kotoka runway at 10:58pm on Tuesday.
