Youth and Sports Minister, Elvis Afriyie Ankrah was among hundreds of enthusiastic men and women who patronized the second edition of the Joy FM Big Workout Saturday, at the Independence Square in Accra.
Mr. Ankrah joined workers from over 30 corporate bodies who decided to take a break from their routine and self-imposed boredom to wriggle, twist and stretch their muscles upon the instructions of a team of bodybuilders and trainers from the Aviation Social Centre.
Addressing the crowd amid cheers, the Minister highlighted the importance of exercises to one’s health and encouraged workers to make it part of their daily activities.
He, as well as other patrons, asked the organizers to make the Big Workout a monthly affair instead of a quarterly one.
David Max-Fugar, the Sales and Marketing Manager of Joy FM says the request will surely be granted.
The second Joy FM Big Workout was sponsored by McDan Shipping, Toss Restaurant, Cowbell, Pepsi and Antrak Air.
Your super station has organized this event to encourage healthy lifestyle through physical training.
