About 200 clients of Standard Chartered Bank were treated to good music at its 2019 Festival of Nine Lessons and Carols.
For close to two hours, the lights sparkled in radiant colours, as voices accompanied by instrumentation billowed to relive the birth of Christ Jesus in a glorious atmosphere.
Setting the stage for a scintillating evening of Nine Lessons and Carols was the Standard Chartered choir who showed why they are the host of the programme by rendering beautiful songs.
The Accra Youth Choir and the Accra Symphony Orchestra together with Lumina treated patrons to renditions of their favourite Christmas Carols.
Head of Corporate Affairs, Brand and Marketing, Asiedua Addae said the Nine Lessons and Carols event was held to bring their clients and key stakeholders together to relax, enjoy good music and network.
“It is our way of thanking our clients for their loyalty” she noted.
Speaking at the event, Chief Executive of Standard Chartered Bank Ghana Limited, Mansa Nettey thanked clients for choosing to bank with Standard Chartered.
She said, “We remain focused on our commitment to be ‘Here for good’ and we will continue to support you our clients and provide you with access to the solutions you need at each stage in your life journey while providing you with the best client experience possible”
The Festival of Nine Lessons and Carols is a service of Christian worship celebrating the birth of Jesus that is traditionally followed at Christmas.
The story of the fall of humanity, the promise of the Messiah, and the birth of Jesus is told in nine short Bible readings from Genesis, the prophetic books and the Gospels, interspersed with the singing of Christmas carols, hymns and choir music.
