The State Housing Company Limited (SHC), has embarked on a nationwide exercise to develop and regenerate lands and estates belonging to the company.
The SHC has a primary responsibility to “increase the availability of dwelling houses in Ghana”.
Management of the Company has commissioned a team to audit all properties belonging to the SHC.
The SHC has been embarking on a number of affordable housing project including the five blocks with 72 units, at Borteyman in the Greater Accra Region.

However, large tracts of its acquired across the country particularly Adenta and Kaneshie in Accra as well as Takoradi in the Western Region, are being encroached by developers.
But a statement signed by Media Relations Officer of the SHC, Gordon Asare Bediako noted: “SHC will resort to every available legal means including comprehensive demolitions to reclaim company lands.”
“Persons who have encroached parcels of land belonging to the SHC should call our head office immediately.
The statement from the government‘s housing construction arm, further commended the security agencies, “especially the Military and Police Service in helping SHC to reclaim and protect State lands.”
