My attention has been drawn to a series of spurious allegations being spread by personalities who should know better, in a futile and unsophisticated attempt to question my loyalty and credibility as I inch closer to an overwhelming victory at the National Democratic Congress (NDC) delegates conference on Saturday, December 20.
The allegations, which are being fed oxygen by some senior officials, including a leading parliamentarian, that I have been cavorting with some members of the NPP leadership, are cowardly, cheap and defeatist and should be treated with the absolute contempt they deserve.
I have never dealt with Nana Akufo-Addo or members of the AFAG as per the mindless gossip being perpetuated by persons who surprisingly purport to be adherents of the principles of the NDC.
I do not identify and have never identified with the ideals of the NPP and its allied institutions.
I have served the NDC with unadulterated loyalty for over 22 years and no individual or groups of persons can question that commitment under any circumstances. My credentials and credibility in the NDC are better exhibited by the huge outpouring of love and support that the entire country has been gripped with as Saturday draws nigh.
I call on all true-loving members of the party who have shown me love and support not to be swayed by the crass political machinations of a drowning minority. Our focus is to achieve victory on Saturday and work hard towards supporting the quest to put Ghana first in all we do.
That is the charge I have to keep and I will not be swayed in my humble quest to achieve that goal.
Long live the NDC!
Thank you.
