Fellow citizens, at the start of this New Year, I wish all of you happiness in all you do, success in all your endeavours and prosperity in all your undertakings. I believe that Ghana has a bright future before it.
The New Patriotic Party’s dream of building a free and fair society of opportunities and prosperity for every Ghanaian is very much alive and certainly within our reach.
I thank the millions of Ghanaians out there for the hard work and enthusiastic support they gave the NPP and I during the campaign.
This past year, which was an eventful year for our country, ended with peaceful elections and for this we must be grateful to the Lord Almighty.
In the coming year, we will continue in our bid to ensure that the sovereign will of the majority of Ghanaians is respected and allowed to determine the future direction of our country.
The NPP remains strong in its commitment to a free, democratic Ghana, where the rule of law reigns and where institutions work properly.
We remain committed to building a society where there is access to free, quality education, quality health care and well-paid jobs. We are certain that the realization of this dream will be sooner than later.
For 2013, let us all renew our commitment to our nation’s wellbeing, let us be active in doing things that will ensure peace, justice and fairness. Let us all pray for the blessings of the Almighty to continue to be showered on us so that the richness of our land shall reach the doorsteps of every family. Rebecca and our daughters join me in wishing you all a happy and prosperous New Year.
May God bless you. May God bless Ghana. Happy New Year!
