The Students Loan Trust Fund (STLF) has announced the successful disbursement of first-semester loans for the 2025/26 academic year, providing financial support to 27,213 students across the country.
In a statement posted on its Facebook page, the Fund confirmed that the beneficiaries include both fresh applicants and continuing students, underscoring its commitment to sustaining access to tertiary education for Ghanaian students.
According to the STLF, the latest disbursement ensures that thousands of students are able to meet pressing academic expenses at the start of the semester, including tuition, accommodation, and other related costs.
The Fund noted that the timely release of funds is aimed at easing the financial burden on students and their families, particularly amid prevailing economic pressures.
By covering a broad category of beneficiaries — from first-time applicants to students progressing through their programmes — the STLF said it is reinforcing its mandate to promote equitable access to higher education.
The Students Loan Trust Fund reiterated its commitment to improving service delivery and ensuring that qualified applicants receive their funds promptly.
