The annual Ghana Entertainment Awards USA (GEA-USA), came off last Saturday, June 29, at the Schomburg Center in New York. The third edition of the event was aimed at showcasing the achievements of Ghanaian creatives and entertainers, who are excelling in various crafts worldwide. The event also uses the platform to celebrate and promote Ghanaian talents. 2019 Ghana Entertainment Awards USA attended by thousands of Ghanaians, held a successful showdown awarding over 30 entertainers. GEA-USA was graced by Ghanaian celebrities including Medikal, DJ Mic Smith, Afia Schwarzenegger, Sista Afia, TeePhlow, Alordia, She Baby, Ignace, Fancy Gadam and more. The event saw dancehall artiste Stonebwoy and rapper Medikal bag two awards each. Stonebwoy emerged the Reggae /Dancehall Act and grab the award for Best Song with Top Skanka while rapper Medikal took the award for Best Collaboration and the Hiplife/Rap Act making them the two.  Shatta Wale took home the Best Album award with ‘Reign’, Salma Mumin won the Best Actress, the Best Male Act went to ‘Total cheat’ hitmaker Fancy Gadam.
